I ordered 2 of these to use with wooden futon frames in order to create an "L-shaped" seating area. I wanted a thick mattress to create a comfy couch without hard spots. I also didn't want a spring mattress because those in my price range tend to stick you when laying on your side. I've had these mattresses for about 2 months and I can say they pretty much fit the bill. The wooden frames I combined them create a seating area that looks better, is more comfortable, and cheaper than the equivalent couch/sectional.I use these mattresses in the seated position only, it wasn't too hard to form a proper crease and the matter doesn't bulge out or anything. I think this mattress should only be used in a set futon position, it might be a lot of effort to use this with a frame that you plan to raise and lower often. Since I mostly sit in the same location, the mattress can get a little flat in that spot. I rotate and flip the mattresses every month. The cover on this mattress shouldn't really be removed. It technically is a cover but it's also holding everything together and it seems like it would be a nightmare to get everything back in.Unfortunately one of my mattresses arrived with loose threads in the cover stitching, I cut them but it was still irritating. Also, I'm not a fan of the brand tag on the zipper, I'll remove it at some point since I never plan to unzip this thing. If not for these 2 things this would be a 5 star experience.
