i am so glad I ignored the more negative reviews. I personally found it easy to put together. Also, I was worried about having carpet, but it is not too hard move under and out from the bed. The wheels still work fine. The upper bed is very sturdy. I am an almost 6" tall adult and laid on it to test it out, and it did not shake at all. I could see the front of the trundle needing some extra l brackets to reinforce if used every day, but for a guest bedroom, it will hold up just fine. For the price, everything was better than expected.
