We have had this bed for over two years now, and my two boys have loved it since the first minute they saw it! It is super sturdy. These kids jump from the stairs to the top bunk, my husband (180+ lbs) gets up there sometimes, they climb all over the side rails, etc and I have never worried about the integrity of it. The stairs are such a great idea for little kiddos. The storage drawers are amazing. My kids cannot leave stuff alone, so they did peel off the anti-skid tape on the stairs, but it took a lot of effort on their part, and I'm not worried about it.If nothing else, the versatility is incredible! You can swap the stairs to either side, use them as separate beds, etc. Now, years later, we are interested in swapping the stairs for a ladder and adding a trundle for sleepovers. One quick message to the seller and they gave me pricing and offered to send an invoice for the extra items!Overall, I have no negatives about this bed, we've enjoyed it thus far, and will continue to enjoy it for years to come. My kids say they don't ever want to go back to a regular bed, and with how sturdy this thing is, I can't imagine why we'd want anything else.Arrived at the earliest time estimate. 4 boxes, all pretty heavy. Definitely no particle board or cheap parts involved! Stairs come in 2 boxes, bed in 2. Good craftsmanship, heavy-duty construction. Bed was well-packaged (no damaged parts) and easy to assemble. One note: buy a good hex (Allen) wrench set if you don't already have one. The included tool (3/16" standard Allen wrench) will work, but is too small to really crank down on some of the screws. Didn't need anything other than my Allen wrench and power drill. Could have used included tool and a phillips-head screwdriver, but why make things harder than they could be? :-) Assembly involves mostly wooden pins (pushed in by hand) and brass-colored screws.Once fully assembled, the bed is sturdy and attractive.I have not assembled the stairs yet (plan to this evening). Will update further after I do.Update: Assembled the stairs. Boy this really makes the bed's footprint bigger! Had to slide bed to the side about 3 feet to make everything fit. Daughter loves the stairs and the storage under each. They all have anti-skid strips (great idea - thoughts of kids climbing up/down with socks on had me worried). The stair assembly had a great included wrench, much bigger than the bed tool. Did not need to use my own wrench. Still used a power drill (for convenience), but needed nothing other than that, the included tool, and plenty of time. By the way, you can build the stairs to fit on either side of the bunk bed (left or right side), whichever works best for you.Very happy with the craftsmanship, materials, and assembly. Took a while to put together, but wasn't complicated. Was much bigger assembled than we'd planned on, but again, my little girl loves it!I seriously cannot say enough about how much we love this bed. My kids refused to go to bed alone in their room until we got this! It took less than a day to put together, and it is SO incredibly sturdy. My children are still young, and one of them is special needs, so it was very important to us to have stairs rather than a ladder. These stairs are easy for my children, myself, and my spouse to get up and down. The railing is a good height and sturdy so I never have to worry about them falling off. The drawers under the stairs are easy to open and close, and have tons of room in them. The storage throughout the whole bed is amazing really. Large totes can fit under the bed or on the lowest bookshelf, tons of clothes can be put in the drawers, and we store books on the shelves. We plan to keep this bed for our daughters forever honestly. Thank you so much!!!I wish the instructions were broken down into smaller steps. It took about 9 hours to get it completely together. The stair case takes just as long as both beds. They are sturdy and I like that there is an extra support bar for the top bunk. The drawers are HUGE and really give a lot of storage. The shelves are very deep as well. I love love love these beds. This is a great, safe bunk bed option for families who want something a bit safer than a ladder to get up to the top bunk. I will say, we hired someone to build it and it took him close to 5 hours to get it built. It is a nice piece of furniture but it takes a long time to assemble it from start to finish. This took a long time to assemble, I did it over 2 days. I did most of it myself but needed my husband to help lift the top bunk over the bottom one. The stairway and drawers took the most time. Now that it's done we love it. It's very sturdy and solid. I looked at a lot of bunk beds before deciding on this one. For the price, the quality is great, but you pay for it with manual labor. I recommend furniture pads so you can slide the bed into place when it's done. It's otherwise very, very heavy. The drawers are huge and offer a lot of storage but are a bit difficult to navigate, even for me. Nonetheless my daughter goes up and down only once a day so not a big deal. Even with the "tall" version, I can't sit fully upright on the bottom bed but that may be because our bottom mattress is quite thick. However it works well for leaning on pillows and reading books. This is a very nice bed! Sturdy, wellMade and assembly is fairly easy! This bed comes in 5 boxes and 2 of ours got separated during shipment so we had to wait 4 days to finish the bed. Also, this company does not have representatives that answer the phone if there’s a problem so it’s contact through email only! Just FYI if a problem arises. I would purchase a bed from this company again.this is a solid bunk bed. Assembly is easy, but takes a lot of time, give yourself a full day. Once assembled, it is very sturdy. Weighs a lot, so I hope we never move. No regrets and would buy again.
